Meet the crew

 I’m Darrell, the brains behind the operation. I grew up on the outskirts of Vancouver until I was 35, then moved to Edmonton, where I met Garret. My passion for fishing began when I was about 10 years old; I started with nothing more than a loose piece of fishing line and a hook I found at the dock. After I caught my first fish, I was completely hooked.  Since then, I’ve been on many fishing tours and caught thousands of fish, including walleye, bluegill, trout, bass, pike, salmon, and the incredible white sturgeon.   Our mission at Fat Boyz Fishing Adventures is to create memories that will last a lifetime.

I’m Garret, the captain of the boat.  Growing up in the Edmonton area, I was passionate about fishing with my dad ever since I could say the word “fish.”   My fishing experience has primarily focused on popular species like walleye, northern pike, and perch. 

I met Darrell about five years ago, and our mutual love for fishing quickly turned us into friends. After my dad passed away in 2023, it was challenging to get back on the water without him. I am thankful to have met Darrell before that tough time because he has made my fishing adventures phenomenal. Together, we've explored various fishing charters and gone on unforgettable fishing tours. Each trip has led me to catch more fish than I ever thought possible. One highlight was our recent trip to Vancouver for sturgeon fishing, which my dad and I had always dreamed of. 

 RIP Dad. You are the reason I can turn my passion for fishing into a fulfilling career, leading outdoor adventures that celebrate our shared love for the sport.

With a passion for Alberta’s incredible landscapes, outdoor experiences and real human moments, Theresa has developed a photography style that is natural, powerful and unmistakably authentic. She knows how to capture the details that make an experience unforgettable: the anticipation before the first cast, the bend of the rod, the fight of the fish, the reaction when a trophy reaches the boat and the pride on an angler’s face when they hold their catch.

Her experience includes outdoor, landscape, event, commercial and lifestyle photography.
